Assertiveness
Outline: This course aims to assist delegates with gaining skills on how to use assertiveness in the work place in order to gain positive results from their colleagues and in team work situations
Objectives: This programme deals with Assertiveness Issues offering key techniques to deal with Bullying, Confrontations and Difficult People. We look at concerns of not being liked, offending others, setting effective boundaries and being able to say no when needed; it is all about knowing when and how to say ‘No’ effectively
Customer Service & Telephone Skills
Outline: This course aims to raise the awareness of customer service on the telephone and assist delegates in providing telephone service excellence
Objectives: Upon completion, delegates will understand the importance, and use of, the telephone in delivering exceptional customer service and will have enhanced their key skills in assertiveness, listening to and dealing with challenging callers, in a professional and efficient manner
Confidence Building & Assertiveness
Outline: The purpose of this course is to help delegates build their confidence in a variety of working situations, which they can then use and apply during their daily routine and whilst carrying out their role in the workplace
Objectives: Upon completion, delegates will have learnt how to effectively deal with situations within the work place with new found confidence that may previously have made them feel uncomfortable. They will put their skills into practice and learn where and when to utilise them
Effective Delegation
Outline: This course aims to increase the understanding of the importance of making effective and efficient use of people’s knowledge and skills to achieve objectives
Objectives: Each delegate will explore techniques to identify the appropriate person for a task and recognise the importance of delegation vs. empowerment and be taken through the effective delegation process
Effective Interviewing Skills
Outline: This course aims to provide delegates with a knowledge of how to effectively prepare for and interview potential employees and build on their existing skill set in this area
Objectives: Upon completion, delegates will understand how to prepare for a constructive interview, learn which questions to ask and which techniques to employ in a variety of different situations, as well as developing their personal technique and manner when interviewing
Effective Meetings
Outline: Our Effective Meetings course is a valuable tool to help delegates learn how to get the most out of the mettings that they set up within the workplace
Objectives: This course aims to teach delegates how to plan and organise meetings and understand their different purposes and how to effectively prepare for such meetings. They will also learn how to take constructive minutes and how to follow up and manage actions
Effective Negotiating Skills
Outline: This course aims to teach delegates how to effectively negotiate in the work place in order to attain the best results and outcomes from their role in the workplace
Objectives: Upon completion, delegates will be able to recognise ways in which they can use their negotiation skills to gain an effective outcome from colleagues and in working relationship. Effective Time Management
Outline: The aim of this course is to understand time management and ‘measure it’ within your business and workplace
Objectives: Upon completion, each delegate will be able to recognise priorities, and projects vs. tasks and learn time management tools such as lists, time lines, delegation and grids
Problem Solving Techniques
Outline: This course aims to equip delegates with valuable skills that they can employ in the work place when dealing with issues that arise within their working role
Objectives: Delegates will leave this course with a thorough understanding of how to correctly utilise problem solving skills to attain the most worth while outcome within their workplace. They will get to put these skills into practice throughout this hands on course too

Outline: This course aims to assist delegates realise their leadership potential to help them excel within the workplace
Objectives: Upon completion, delegates will understand what a leader is and does and know what people want and need from their leader. They will also understand what modern leadership skills are required to ensure that the potential of teams or individuals are realised and how to motivate and adapt their leadership style to get results
Train the Trainer
Outline: At Phoenix, we offer a wide range of Train the Trainer courses and these are aimed at employees, nominated trainers, supervisors, team leaders, safety representatives and managers who are responsible for training others
Objectives: Upon completion, delegates will have learnt how to teach the skills needed to train individuals or groups at all levels of their organisation and will have an understanding of the stages of competency and learning, including one to one instruction and breaking a task down.
